  • Great for easy-access snorkeling.

  • Beautiful for lounging ALL DAY. About 20-30 miles north of the Kona airport.

• Miloli'i  

  • Black sand beach with a little hike.

Outdoor Excursions

• Hawai'i Volcanoes National Park

  • 3 hour drive from Kona, but worth the overnight trip for amazing hikes

through craters and lava tubes.

• Manta Ray Night Dive

  • Swim in the ocean with 12 foot Manta Rays...at night!

• captain cook Hike and snorkle (strenuous)

  • Hike down with your gear for some of the best snorkeling on the island. Beware

of what is lurking past the big drop off... muahahahaha!  

• Polulu Valley Hike & HAWI TOWN

  • 2 hr beauty of a drive up to the north shore of the island. Steep little hike to a

magical black sand beach. Continue hiking beyond the beach for panoramic

views. Finish it off with lunch and a beer in the quaint town of Hawi.

FUN FACT: Hawi is the halfway point for the cyclists in the Ironman!!!

• GREEN SAND BEACH

  • Southernmost point of the entire U.S., with a beach made of olive

green sand and some cliff diving. Visit on your way back from the volcano.

• Coffee Tour at greenwell farms

  • Fun and informative 30-minute tour of some of the best coffee you'll ever drink.
